A small, hard-working consulting firm based in Portland, Oregon and founded in San Francisco, we have worked with thousands of healthcare providers and organizations from across the spectrum of healthcare, since 1998.

Seamlessly blending medicine, business, and technology with policy considerations has been a lifelong passion and truly rewarding pursuit for Medical Business Solutions founder and owner, Scott Zacks. Scott brings over twelve years' experience of creative thinking to the practice of designing individualized solutions to meet your organization's unique needs and requirements. He has consulted thousands of practices and medical organizations, in a wide range of healthcare environments and specialties. Including Inpatient and Ambulatory Care, Dental Specialties and Long Term Care.

Born in Vancouver, BC, and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Scott was inspired by a variety of entrepreneurial role models. Working in his father's computer software store, he was exposed to business management and technology at a young age. Each of Scott's grandfathers also owned their own businesses, one of which was the pediatric practice where Scott was treated as a child.

Scott attended the University of Oregon, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Psychology with a focus on Biopsychology. During this time, he had a profound insight: He determined that the single greatest variable in every aspect of business was the human factor, and looked to psychology as a means of solving business challenges.

Combining his love of business and medicine Scott healthcare career began in medical sales with Novartis Pharmaceuticals and later a diagnostics division of Pfizer. Quickly promoted into management, he supervised 40 reps and managers across four western states and Hawaii. Despite his love for this work, he yearned for a more creative and impactful career, and an opportunity to better utilize his unique skill sets including technology. Medical Business Solutions was born from this desire.
